What a weekend! We had a great week of practices and started off...
 
Picture Day!

We have set a time for individual and team photos! We are doing things a bit different this year to help minimize the impact to our coaches and their practice time. We will start individual and sibling photos at 5pm at WRAP field. Please have your player(s) dress in their game uniform. Team pictures will be taken after 6pm.

 

The schedule will be as follows:

 

Tuesday 9/1

ALL football player need to arrive in their game uniform. Regardless if you are purchasing individual photos every player will take individual photos for the yearbook and will be in the team photo.

1/2 Football Team

3/4 Football Team

5 Football Team

 

Wednesday 9/2

ALL football player need to arrive in their game uniform. Regardless if you are purchasing individual photos every player will take individual photos for the yearbook and will be in the team photo.

6 Football Team

7/8 Football Team

 

Thursday 9/3

It is important to note, that even if your cheer leader has their individual photo taken prior to 9/3 they will still need to be in full uniform on Thursday 9/3 for team photos.

All Cheer Squads

 

Picture order forms will be going home with your participants this week, but will also be available on the day of pictures. If you'd like to print a copy you can do so by clicking here.

Did you know that your particpant's team or squad has their own page?

If you click on "Teams" and hover your curser over "Choose a Team" you can then click on football or cheer. The next selection you make will be which team or squad. That page is updated with information specific to that team by the coach and/or team mom.

Now that the team or squad has been selected, if you click on "Teams" again you will now see a different menu to choose from including the roster and schedule.

Take a look around! Hope you'll find what you're looking for!

News and Events

What a weekend! We had a great week of practices and started off Saturday with a successful weigh in, even finishing them early. Thank you all for being on time and having your players in their gear ready to go. It was much appreciated. We spent the rest of Saturday with some great games and long lines in concessions.

 

Sunday saw some more great football and still long lines in concessions. The look on our customers’ faces as they walked away with our Wolverines waters was priceless. Thank you Jacobs and Jacobs for donating our custom labeled waters they are a huge hit! We love them so much we are collecting empty ones. If you have an empty Wolverines water bottle please consider giving it to Cheer Coach Jami Roach instead of throwing it away. Cheer will be repurposing them as noise makers for our upcoming cheer competition. We are determined to bring home that spirit award for a second year in a row!

 

Last but certainly not least I need to thank our Team Moms, Coaches, Board Members and countless volunteers who worked all weekend keeping concessions going until we literally sold out of food, cleaning up the facilities, running the clocks and cheering on all of our football and cheer participants. It truly takes a community to make this organization function and especially at such a high level. I am so appreciative of all of you!

 

If this weekend is predictive of our season to come, it is going to be great!

 

A few items of note:

·        Coach Davis and the Davis fund will be providing athletic gold socks for each football player. You can expect these to arrive this week in time for our first regular season game. These socks are issued as part of their uniform and they are expected to wear them to every game.  We will have extra pairs for sale in apparel.

·        If your player wore a blank jersey (one without a number) at the scrimmages this weekend, I will need those back. Please bring them to practice this week, I will exchange the blank one for one with a number.

Monday 8/24 - 6-8pm at WRAP Field, 27515 120th St Buckley, WA 98321

·        For football, Pads Practice

o   The 1-2 and 5 Team will continue to practice on the back field

·        For cheer, Squad Practice and uniform fittings for those whose uniforms aren’t fitting properly.

·        Our schedule is up! I'm working on updating the calendar now! We are starting our season off at home!

 

Tuesday 8/25 - 6-8pm at WRAP Field, 27515 120th St Buckley, WA 98321

·        For football, Pads Practice

o   The 1-2 and 5 Team will continue to practice on the back field

·        For cheer, Squad Practice

 

Wednesday 8/26 - 6-8pm at WRAP Field, 27515 120th St Buckley, WA 98321

·        For football Pads Practice

o   The 1-2 and 5 Team will continue to practice on the back field

·        For cheer, Squad Practice

 

Thursday 8/27 - 6-8pm at WRAP Field, 27515 120th St Buckley, WA 98321

·        For football Pads Practice

o   The 1-2 and 5 Team will continue to practice on the back field

·        For cheer, mandatory Competition Practice.

·        Pre-Sale Car Wash tickets are due this day. Only pre-sale tickets will count toward your $50 fundraising obligation. Please turn them into Audeane, Fundraising Manager. She will be located near concessions.

 

Friday 8/28 - 6-8pm at WRAP Field, 27515 120th St Buckley, WA 98321

·        Pep Rally! We look forward to officially kicking off the regular season with a good ole fashion pep rally! We will also be hosting the NFL Punt, Pass, Kick contest this night. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Here is the tentative schedule of events:

Raffle Purchases

7pm                      Pie in the Coaches’ Face

7:30pm                Cheer Performance

7:45pm                Raffle Winner Announcements

o   Wolverines will provide the hot dogs, condiments and utensils. The rest is potluck. Please see below for assignments.

§  5 & 6 Football Teams and Cheer Squad: Side Dish

§  7-8 Football Team and Cheer Squad: Drinks

o   We will have raffle items this year.

Saturday 8/29 – Time and Location TBD

·        Our first regular season game

 

Sunday 8/30 – Fundraising Car Wash, Bonney Lake Rite Aid from 10am-4pm

·        Below are the time assignments for each team:

o   1-2 Team, 3-4 Team, and 5 Team 10-1pm

o   6 Team and 7-8 Team 1-4pm

 

Upcoming Dates to Note:

·        Monday 8/31 – No practice. Once school starts we will practice Tuesday-Thursday unless otherwise noted by coaches.

·        Friday 9/4 Sheets Field – Battle of the Bridge

·        Saturday 9/5 – No games Labor Day Weekend
